May 29, 2026

Updated:

• We updated Agent Versioning and Support to reflect End of Support & End of Life dates for agent versions 2.1 and older.
• We updated Roles and Permissions Management to reflect recent updates in the console, and show better grouping of permissions.
• API Documentation Improvements: We updated the Automox API Reference for better consistency in path variables & parameters, to make things a little easier to use.

Added:

• We added Third-Party Software Support for RemotePC Host (Windows, macOS).

Updated:

• We updated the Otto AI FAQs to reflect that we now use Anthropic's Claude on AWS Bedrock for Ask Otto.
• We updated End-User Notifications to clarify behavior for silent policies.
• We made some quality of life improvements to the documentation site, including improved glossary functionality and automatically opening cross-reference and external links in a new tab.

Bugfixes:

• We corrected an encoding issue affecting display of special characters on the documentation site.
• We fixed an issue where policies in a Missed Patch Window can run out of order when actioned by a notification.
• We fixed an issue where a policy with notifications sets the next check-in time incorrectly, which causes the policy to run before the deadline.

• We updated Supported Operating Systems to add Fedora 44 and Ubuntu 26.04 LTS.
• We updated Scheduled Windows FAQ to note the updated Activity Log behavior for policies blocked by an active exclusion window.

Bugfixes:

• We fixed an issue where Remote Control status and settings were not showing up correctly on macOS devices.

• We updated the Splashtop Remote Control documentation to reflect deployment updates.
• We updated POST /remotecontrol-st/initiate-connection to reflect that we've added the connection-type field to the request body.
• We added landing pages to the upper-level sections on the docs site, to make it easier to link to a specific section within the site.
• We added a note regarding rate limiting to the Device Details documentation.
