Understanding Restart Error Notifications

Allowing Notifications for macOS
Generally, notifications automatically appear according to your system settings. For macOS, it is important that you allow notifications from the Automox Notifier.
To ensure you will receive notifications for macOS, follow these steps:
- Go to System Settings (on older OSes, System Preferences) → Notifications → Automox Notifier.
- Enable Automox notifications.
- Select either Banners or Alerts.
Errors Occurring During the Restart Process
Errors can occur, for example, when an Internet connection fails. For failures during the final notification flow (as described in Managing End-User Notifications), the following types of notification messages can appear, depending on your OS.
Windows failure notification
In addition to the final notice, if a restart fails, an error message is displayed. You are notified to restart the device. This error message includes the policy name and ID for troubleshooting purposes. The following is an example of such a notification:

For macOS devices, when Automox notifications are enabled and the final notification flow fails, a System Restart Failure message is displayed. This error message includes the policy name and ID for troubleshooting purposes.
